Free for non-profit use: What is that?

A "non-profit" (or "not-for-profit" as it is sometimes called) is an organization that uses surplus revenues to achieve its goals rather than distributing them as profit or dividends. Each country has different laws for formally recognizing these types of organizations. In the United States, such an organization files with the IRS and receives their formal acknowledgment. The process in other countries may be somewhat different. Once you receive your formal government recognition of your status as a non-profit, just send us a copy of the letter and you'll be good to go.

If your country operates differently from what is described above, we verify your status using the best tools available where you are. Just email us and we'll work something out.

Even if you don't qualify as a non-profit, you can still use BetterLinux for free at least through August 15, 2014. Even those who try BetterLinux after that time will always get a free 30-day trial period.
